Harry potter 1 - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Harry potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the first of what I hope to be many of J.K Rowlings beloved classic books. This movie is about Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) who finds out that his parents were wizards. He finds out that he will be going to a wizard school called hogwarts. This movie is basically a masterpiece. It goes over the top of what people think will happen. It is better than the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. It is oscar worthy and I hope that the other ones are as good. So those of you who are kind of worried that it won't live up to the book don't worry it is a great movie.

Cool - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

This movie was really good. i still think that the second one is better but that doesnt mean that this is bad.

As a huge fan of the books..i must say.. - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

It..could've been better. Muuuuuch better.it was alright, but really, the little things that made the book so enjoyable wasn't in the movie, like Peeves, for example. Where was Peeves? And Voldemort, come on, I thought he was gonna be, at the very least, creepy, but instead, I was slightly amused. I personally think that these are the kind of books that should remain just that-books. (But you know, I have this movie and the 2nd one anyway LOL)

Great work - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

This was a good movie, considering that it had such an awesome book to follow up to. The only real complaint I have is that digital animation can make people fly on broomsticks, yet they couldn't make Harry's eyes the right color. But otherthan that, the movie was pretty much outstanding.

Good - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I like this movie because it was like the book, but the book was a lot better than the movie. Emma Watson is soooooooooooo hot!

I just don't get it... - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Another one of those movies that I see all these geeks come in and see. Thought I'd try and see what the hype was all about. First of all, I just like to hear all these Brits say it. Harry Potter = Hey Paultah. It's funny. This movie is so friggin goddang stupid. It's about this dork who can do magic acts and what not. Kids may or may not like it. I sure as heck don't. The Potter kid is an overly geeky over actor. The story is just plain childish and *****ty, and any adult that would adopt this as good, should go back to pre-school. The effects are cheesy, I've seen better script and direction on Sesame Street Than this god awful piece of crap. Hey just my opinion - The $300 million worth of dorks and losers that paid to see this absolutely god awful piece of dog ***** wrapped up in pig vomit would disagree, but this movie in my opinion sucks horse balls and Harry Pooter and this new age dork movement in movies can eat ***** and ***** dead bears, die of gonorrhea and rot in hell because of them I have to sit through two sequels worth of beatnik pacifist ***** until finally....... Finally it's all over. Stay tuned for my rivoting review on Harry Pooter and the Prisoner of Kazhakastan and all the wizards of Oz.

Wow, that was bad! - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Harry Potter would have to have been the most overrated movie I've seen. When seeing ads I thought it was just going to be a harmless Lord of the Rings rip-off, oh how wrong I was. Yeah it was a bit of a Lord of the Rings rip-off, but it wasn't harmless, it was extremely painful to watch. All my friends had seen it and said it was above average, so I gave it a chance, and I don't think I can remember watching a more boring movie. It tried to be funny, but it wasn't, it tried to be cute, but it wasn't and most of all it tried to be good and that it certainly wasn't. All I can say is that Lord of the Rings is much better and more entertaining.

The good magical movie! - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Harry potter part 1 is nice and interesting because it was the newest magic movie in 2001.At first I thought that it will be boring like the oldest magic movies. But when I saw it in the cinema I was shocked. It was unbelivable movie. When part 2 came, I was eager to see it in the cinema. When I saw it and I saw harry potter 1 I was bored from harry potter1. thank you.

The boy that lives - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Harry Potter is the story of the boy that lives because his parents was killed by a powerful and evil wizard name VOLDEMORT. Not all wizard are good some turn into the evil side to seek more power and knowledge when it comes to magic.

A great novel come to life! - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I absolutely loved this movie. It has everything and is almost exactly like the outstanding novel by J. K. Rowling. It is mystical, enchanting, and just so good. It is a must-see. Everything about it is up to mark. The story is great and will be remembered forever.

A kid's movie - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I just finished watching this on ABC and caught it as the children were arriving to the school in small boats. It's a good kid's movie, but I was disappointed as it didn't meet my expectations. (Keep in mind this movie was released in 2001, and I'm just now seeing it in 2004, AFTER hearing all the hoopla about it.) This movie may have been better if it weren't for all those ABC commericals. How many times do viewers need to be tortured by the same three commercials, Dove, Chrystler, & Degree. The ending left me disappointed. I guess I was expecting the stone to be much larger since it was protected by such a LARGE 3 Headed Dog. I, also, wasn't expecting Harry Potter to find the stone in his pocket after all he had gone through. The Visual Effects get the highest rating from me. I liked the disappearing cloth. The vilan's face coming out of the backside of one of the professor's head was cool. I'm not left to want to rush out and see the 2nd movie. I know the kids were wanting to though. By the time the 3rd one is released, it's fame will have dithered. Too much competition to wait to long to release the sequals. This movie is fitting for Pre-Teens and maybe the younger teens.

I was impressed!!!!!!! - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I am a new found fan of Harry! I must admit the first time I read the books I was taken aback at how bad I thought they would and was astounded at how much I loved the movie! I watched it over and over then tried reading the book again and I loved it!

Where's my nimbus - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I really did love this movie. It is one of my favorites of all time. This movie in my opinion did not rake over the Fellowship of the Ring but tried. I seen both of the movies of Harry Potter and I am waiting for Azkaban.

This was a very bad movie. - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

Anyone who has read the books would probably say it was a very flawed plotline. Anyone who can tell good acting from non-acting would probably say the character portrayal was somewhat less than optimum. Anyone who can tell quite good effects from quite bad effects would probably say it was hardly believable... I just say it was disappointing as hell. I mean, for heavens sake, I think we could (mostly) all agree that J.K.Rowling created a truly amazing world--in all of the books. And to have that world ripped to shreds on the big screen is pretty upsetting, especially when one is trusting one of the best-selling stories to a movie company only to have it absolutely *ruined*. I'd say this movie was about as disappointing as any movie I've ever seen. I can't even think about it without feeling nauseous.

Good job - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

I think that Oliver Wood is the best guy ever! He is awesome in this movie. He should have been harry potter!

Boring, childish movie - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

bunch of kids running around thinking they are magical, what fun. any fighting scenes are horribly done. this movie is a waste of time, we are all dumber for watching it

What the dickens? - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Reviews

The latest installment of England mania virus to hit our shores comes in the form of a bespeckled boy named Harry. He is a compilation of a Beatle look-a-like (Lenon),a Mary Poppins magic act and a Copperfield/Dickens vagrant-orphan plot.He lives in a cellar and attends a boarding school when it is discovered he has wizardy skills.Hummmmm.Original?
